Labioplasti
abiaplasty is the correction of the situation where the outer lip, which is located at the entrance of the vagina in the genital area and just outside it, is larger than normal or drooping, is called labiaplasty.
Labiaplasty is the operation of correcting the labium majus (outer lip) located at the entrance of the vagina in the genital area and just outside of it, where the labium minus (inner lip) is larger than normal or drooping.
Often there may be asymmetry between the left and right labium minus and majus. With labiaplasty surgery, both labia can be equal in size and appearance. The anatomical appearance of the inner lips, which should be normal, is to remain inside the inner lips. This problem is solved with labiaplasty surgery. It is not normal for it to be long and drooping and have the appearance described as ‘Elephant Ear’ by our patients.
We even witness the thoughts that they are afraid to look at their external genitalia and that they cannot have sexual intercourse just because of this. Or, they are afraid of the bad and dark-colored image in the genital area, even if they do not experience any sexuality, the image of their partner who has had many experiences before. In addition, the fact that the inner lips are very uncomfortable in tight jeans and underwear causes them to feel bad in social environments, sports and daily activities. We witness that these patients stay away from swimsuits, bikinis, tights and tight clothing.
The presence of labia that is longer than normal in the genital vaginal area, creates a constantly moist environment and causes chronic, persistent vaginal infections or abscesses of the bartholin gland. Of course, one of the most common reasons for application is that the sexuality is badly affected and the woman feels bad for her husband.
After the labiaplasty surgery, our patients, whom we continue to talk to, state that they feel more comfortable in social environments, their self-confidence has increased and they are freed from negativities in their sexual lives.
